Nominations to the Illinois Education Association Representative Assembly (IEA-RA) are between October 9th, 2023, to Monday, November 15, for members interested in serving as delegates. The (IEA-RA) will be March 14th-16th, 2024 (Thursday through Saturday) in Rosemont, Illinois.

The IEA-RA brings together over 1,000 elected IEA delegates from across the state to discuss, take positions, and vote on educational issues that will guide the operation of our state's union.

TC is allotted 3 delegate positions. If you are interested in serving as a delegate, please complete the nomination form  (Find form in members center) and submit it to Alex Brown before November 15, 2023.

Our IEA Region 41 also has an Ethnic Minority delegate elected across the region. Members can nominate themselves using the Ethnic Minority Nomination Form.

Self-nominations are encouraged. If you have questions, please do not hesitate to reach out. This is a great way to learn more about how the IEA supports our profession.

    Evanston TC Member,

Every year the National Education Association (NEA) holds a representative assembly (RA) where members can affect change within our national organization. I hope you will consider attending the NEA-RA this summer in Orlando, Florida. The NEA-RA will take place between July 2nd -July 6th, 2023. The opportunity to nominate someone for NEA-RA closes on March 9th, 2023. Reach out to me  including filling out the nomination form, if you wish to select yourself or someone to become a delegate at the NEA-RA. The election for the NEA-RA will be on March 15th, 2023.

    Thanks,

    Mr. Alex Brown (TC Vice-President)
